Join Haunting Nights at this spooky time of year at The Hauntings of The Shirehall, Hereford Ghost Hunt
Built in the early part of the 1800s and Grade II listed the Shire hall in Hereford has a gruesome and disturbing past.
Its reputation as a haunted building is well known and it was built on the site of the original Herefordshire prison
The Shirehall consists of real court rooms, dark and creepy cellars and the original prison cells.
As a former prison grim public execution took place directly outside the front entrance to the building.
Many who met their untimely death by the hangman’s noose, so it should come as no surprise that many spirits are thought to remain and haunt the building till this day.
Much ghostly activity has been reported here such as loud bangs and screams where upon further investigation no one is found along with reported sounds of heavy footsteps running down stairs.
Tall Dark shadowed figures are also said to have been seen and felt along with unpleasant odour that have been smelt in various parts of the building.

During the night you will have the opportunity to use various methods of ghost hunting to include Victorian seances, Ouija boards, table tipping and glass moving as well as the more up to date methods, along with a ghost hunting medium, we will have you covered for your paranormal experience .
